About Me

Hey everyone my name is Destinee Thames. I am a graduate of Oral Roberts University with a major in Media (advertising) and a minor in communication. 

I was accepted to the Disney College Program (DCP) for the Spring 2014 term as a Vacation Planner! It was my first choice as a role was super excited that I actually got it. I just wanted to blog about my experiences from start to finish and beyond? I have only really been able to find one other blog of a person who has my position and 1/2 of a Youtube video on it. So i want to fix that, like Fix It Felix! My desire is to add to the list of resources for people who are interested in being a Vacation Planner but also just people who are interested in the program at all.

You will quickly find out that I like to have fun and can be a little goofy at times. On occasion i might post some really random thing because the possibilities are endless. Who knows how inspired I will get.

Now that I have completed my program, I find myself looking back on my time at Disney and just really wanting to write about them (now that I have more time). And as i hear more updates about what's going on at the parks, i'd like to offer my two cents on some topics to so ill post those topics too.
For now i hope that all you future DCPer's and your family members find this blog extremely helpful in your journey through the program and beyond.

Random Fact - It's my goal at some point in my life to be a "Mouse Counselor" or part of a travel agency that is an "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner" so i'm working on expanding my knowledge of their offerings.
