Interest has sparked in you about being an intern for Disney. What you need now is some information. I spent 3 years researching the program, which is definitely more than it actually takes, but I had the time, so i used it.
It is really important that you do some research for this process. I spent hours doing this. Not everyone is going to have huge amounts of time to spare and that is fine. There were days where i only had an hour before i went to bed so i choose to use it wisely. Do what you can to be prepared and make an informed decision (my PSA for the day).
So here is how i have done my research. I divided it into resources i used before the application came out, then the ones i have used after applying and being accepted.
Disney College Program Website - should be your first place of reference for all your questions. I know it does not answer everything but it sort of gives you more than an elevator speech which is nice.
Disney College Program Youtube Channel- Watch some videos and get excited about the program. See what previous CP's have said about their positions. Get information about taking classes and start making a list of the roles you would like to have. They also have a blog Disney Programs Blog which is a bit more detailed than the YouTube spot.
Disney Den- This is by far the best blog i have found for information on the program. She has resources for so many things (except an interview or link to someone who is a vacation planner :( another reason I decided to blog).
Your School - It is important that you check with your school to find out what they need from you in order to participate in the program and get credit for it. Talk to your adviser or campus rep to guarantee you wont have any problems by leaving for a semester. If you are graduating before the program begins you should not have any issues with this.
Other Blogs or Vlogs - In general you can search for Disney college program blogs and Vlogs. Where one person leaves a whole, someone else is guaranteed to fill it.
Faceebook - Find the DCP group on Facebook for the season you are applying for and join it. I think my group was up at least 3 months before the apps came out so you have plenty of time to get your questions answered. The great thing about these is the former CP's are on the pages as well. They probably are the one who created the group or they are applying a second time or they are extending their current program. This is probably the fastest platform to find the answers to your questions.

Here are some of the questions i had when i was in the research stage
- What areas can i work in? Do any of them relate to my major?
- What are the housing complexes like and how many roommates can i have?
- How are roommates chosen?
- What classes do they offer? Do any really relate to what i want to do?
- What courses will count for credit at my school?
- Is there any cost to me upfront?
- When do applications come out?
- How much money will i make?
- How do i get to work if i dont have a car? what is the bus system like?
- Why would the program be beneficial to me?
- What perks come with working as an Intern for Disney?
- What does a typical day look like for a CP?
- How long is the program?
- Can I just work in a parade?
Pre-Arrival
Joining Facebook groups for you arrival date. Finding Roommates
This list is ongoing at the moment.
I know it is a short list but that's because i found out most of what i wanted to know in a few places. I hope this helps!
