Resort Hopping!

Today (Thursday because I'm still awake even though its past midnight) we had an attempt at resort hopping. What is resort hopping you might ask? Well, it's basically something cast members (people who work for Disney) do to kill time. And i guess some vacationers do it as well because its a free way to spend your day.

Random Fact #2 - I have been to Disney World twice and I have never been inside any of the Disney hotels.

Basically our plan was to take the cast member bus to one of the resorts, look around and take pictures, then catch the monorail to another hotel. We wanted to hit up as many hotels as we could before we got tired or it got dark.

Well, those plans were ruined because the monorail was shut down from 11am till 7pm :(

So we only got to go to two resorts: Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. They are both Deluxe resorts which means they are the most expensive with the nicest rooms and amenities (I assume the second part because I have not see the inside of a room yet). Right now the rate for these hotels start and $429 and $488 per night excluding tax!! Holy Crap!! That is more than I pay for the round trip tickets I was getting from Tulsa to Las Vegas.

But let me just tell you that the Grand is legitimately grand! You just look at it and know they put a lot of work into making this hotel be fit for royalty. And they didn't hold back on the Polynesian either. It is gorgeous and you can learn Polynesian dance there (I say worth it!). Oh and they both have every form of transportation of getting to the parks except for flying (so bus, monorail and boat). It's pretty awesome!

I figured I would make you all jealous and post some pictures of the hotels. Maybe i'll get around to the videos at some point too.
