Make it rain...or maybe just sprinkle?

Let me establish a fact about the Disney College Program. There is a chance that anyone who participates in the program will not get paid a lot. Some roles will get minimum wage others get more. It just depends on your role and work location.

Example: life guards get paid more because others lives are inherently in their hands. Also those who work at Magic Kingdom get paid more and im assuming its because they have the longest/most ridiculous work hours.

We get paid weekly which is actually really nice. This is the first job I've had where we get paid every week. I really like it. So in that sense it feels like you should have a lot more money than you do.

Here is the reason college program kids never have any money... (spoiler alert)

Disney food is addicting!! I am convinced that it literally has some form of crack in it (we call it pixie dust). Literally you just want to try everything, and will all the quick service restaurants in the parks/resorts and full service themed places, you can literally have whatever you like (or what you have never had but always wanted to try). And there lies the problem. We all want to eat healthy and loose weight so we can go home looking fabulous, but it's a very hard thing to do. All my roommates have decided that we will eat healthy at home so that when we eat like crap in the parks and spend all our money, we don't feel bad about it.

Yet every day we feel bad about it. And so does our bank account. Still we continue. Why? Because many of us just came here for the experience, or the internship credit. We didn't come for the money because we already knew we would not be making much. So rather than worry so much about saving, we worry about having fun experiences.

If you don't understand how fabulous the food is here, take a look at these two videos.
